GRADE-WISE

Grade 5 & 6 (Girls)

Thematic Assembly titled ‘International Tolerance Day’ will be held on November 19th. The objective of this assembly is to educate students about the need for tolerance in society. It will also help them understand the negative effects of intolerance.

National Day will be celebrated on November 28th. On this day, students will honor and reflect the spirit of the union of all the seven emirates. It will also create awareness among them about the local culture and heritage.

Grade 5 & 6 (Boys)

Children’s Day will be celebrated on November 17th. The purpose of this day for students is to develop their self-esteem and personal growth by appreciating their individuality. Various indoor and outdoor games for them will be arranged. Street show with singing, speech and more will also be included.

Value Exchange Day (making badges with value) will be held on November 21st. This day aim to inculcate good moral values among students. It will also help in building good relationships among themselves.

Athletic Meet will be organised during this month (date not yet confirmed). This activity will help to encourage students to enhance their fitness. Various sports like races, long jump and more will be included.

Grade 7 & 8 (Girls)

Annual Athletic Meet will be conducted on November 21st. The purpose of this activity is to promote the wellbeing of one’s mind and body. Participation of students will enhance their ability to be mentally alert and be physically fit. It also aims to inculcate the spirit of team effort and competitiveness.

Picnic (Movie Time) will be organised on November 25th. Students will visit Cinema. It will help to create an interest in a multi-dimensional perspective and to develop their social skills.

Periodic Test 2 will commence on November 27th. This assessment will help students evaluate their understanding of the concepts learnt.

Grade 7 & 8 (Boys)

Special Assembly titled ‘Diabetes Day’ and ‘Drama Festival’ will be held on November 18th. The purpose of this assembly for students is to create awareness on diabetes. It will also help to encourage the speaking skills of the learners by delivering audience the appropriate theatrical presentations.

Athletic Meet will be conducted on November 19th. The objective is to encourage fitness and sportsmanship in students.

Special Assembly titled ‘UAE National Day’ will be held on November 25th. This assembly will help to instill in students the values of love and respect for the country they live in.

Grade 11

Half Yearly Exams begins on November 16th for girls and continues till this month for boys. Students will be tested on the portions covered from April to November.

Grade 12

First Model Examination begins on November 16th for girls and continues till this month for boys. These exams will help students to boost their confidence and overcome mistakes. It is also considered as practice exams before they appear for the final board exam. The entire years’ portion will be tested.

SUBJECT – WISE (Islamic Studies)

Islamic Elocution Competitions will be conducted on November 17th for grade 9 & 10 girls/boys, on November 18th for grade 7 & 8 girls/boys and on November 19th for grade 5 & 6 girls. These competitions will be an opportunity for students to speak in front of other students. It will also help to boost their confidence level and gain knowledge about the topic of the quiz.

PROGRAM- WISE

48th UAE National Day will be celebrated on November 26th. The purpose of this programme is to pay tribute to the rulers and people of the UAE. As this year is the Year of Tolerance, there will also be a programme based on it. Arabic dances, dramas, skits and power point presentation to show homage to the UAE and how UAE has grown from strength to strength over the years will be included.

CAREER CENTRE

A Special Presentation of Vellore Institute of Technology (India) will be organised on November 18th for grade 12. During this presentation, students will get orientation about their programs offer, admission requirements, application process, fee structure and deadline of application.

COUNSELLING CENTRE

Training on the topics ‘Assessment Tool Training’, ‘Dealing with Change’, ‘Transformations – Career Focus’ and ‘CDA Licensing & Procedures’ will be conducted on November 16th for Counsellors. The purpose for Counsellors is to train them to use effectively the assessment tool, to help them prepare students to deal with the challenges of tomorrow, to help them guide students about changing transformations in careers and to understand licensing procedures thoroughly.

LEARNING CENTRE

Training on the topics ‘Multiple Intelligences- a book review’, ‘Learning Styles’ and ‘My personal journey as a special needs child to a Therapist’ will be held on November 16th for LSA. Through this training, LSA will get a deeper understanding of MI, understand learning styles better and understand the challenges faced by a special needs child.

CONTINUOUS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

CPD Program on E-Learning – “Use of Interactive White Boards” will be conducted from November 17th to 28th (tentative dates) for teachers. This program will help to determine the level and effectiveness of teachers in using the interactive white boards.
