GRADE-WISE

Grade 5 & 6 (Girls)

Children’s Day will be celebrated on November 13th. This day aims to cherish the love and nurture the bond that the teachers share with the students.

Annual Athletic Meet will be conducted during this month (date not yet confirmed). The purpose is to complement the educative process and develop physical skills, honesty, emotional stability & good sportsman ship among the students.

Grade 5 & 6 (Boys)

A Picnic will be organised on November 14th. The objective for students is to provide opportunities for experiential learning and encourage the enhancement of social skills, camaraderie, team building & personal growth. It will also be a celebration of Children Day. They will take time off, relax and rejuvenate themselves.

Grade 7 & 8 (Boys)

Athletic Meet will be conducted during this month (date not yet confirmed). This activity will help to encourage students to enhance their fitness.

Picnic will be organised during this month (date not yet confirmed). The purpose for students is to enhance their social skills, teambuilding and personal growth.

Children’s Day will be celebrated on November 13th. Through this day, students will celebrate childhood and promote awareness about the wellbeing of children. It will also help to uplift their social rights.

Grade 9 & 10 (Girls)

Children’s Day program will be held on November 12th. Through this day, students will commemorate the birthday of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.

Grade 10 (Girls)

MEP activities on the topic titled ‘Peer Pressure’ will be conducted. On November 12th there will be a Talk and on November 13th a Worksheet will be administered. The purpose is to help students understand the topic.

Grade 9 & 10 (Boys)

Thematic Assembly titled ‘Being Respectful’ will be held on November 6th. The purpose of this assembly is to inculcate the value of respectfulness among students.

Picnic scheduled on October 30th is now postponed to November 7th. The objective for students is to provide opportunities for experiential learning. It will also help them to encourage the enhancement of their social skills, team building and personal growth.

Children’s Day will be celebrated on November 13th. This day aims to commemorate the birthday of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. It will also help to increase students’ awareness towards care, rights and well-being.

Grade 11 & 12 (Girls)

House Day will be held on November 4th. This day will be an opportunity for students to showcase their talents. It will also help to nurture in them the skills of team building, leadership and cooperation. Four houses will compete in various segments like battle of bands, mascot making, group slam poetry, group dance and fashion show.

Fortnight Delite will be organised on November 6th. This activity aims to highlight the importance of eating healthy.

Grade 12 (Girls)

Mid Term Exams will be concluded on November 2nd. Students are given an opportunity to revise the important topics covered in the first term together with the topics completed till date, through a 50 marks test paper.

Grade 11 (Boys)

Half Yearly Examination will be conducted from November 14th onwards. Students will be tested on the portions covered from April to November.

Grade 11 & 12 (Boys)

House Day will be held on November 10th. During this day, the four houses will compete to show case their talents.

Grade 12 (Boys)

First Model Examination will be conducted from November 14th onwards. The objective is to prepare students for the upcoming Board Examination. The entire years’ portion will be tested.

SUBJECT – WISE (Arabic & Islamic Studies)

Quran Recitation Competitions will be conducted on November 3rd for grade 7 & 8 girls/boys and grade 9 & 10 boys, on November 5th for grade 9 & 10 girls and on November 10th for grade 5 & 6 girls. These competitions will help students to improve their recitation skills including Tajweed and voice modulation.

Islamic Quiz Competitions will be conducted on November 3rd for grade 5 & 6 girls, on November 5th for grade 7 & 8 girls, on November 10th for grade 7 & 8 boys and on November 11th for grade 9 & 10 girls/boys. The purpose is to improve students’ knowledge and understanding of the specific topic.

Arabic Poem Recitation will be organised on November 5th for grade 5 & 6 girls. Through this competition, students will improve their spoken skill in Arabic.

Arabic Quiz Cultural Competitions will be conducted on November 5th for grade 7 & 8 boys and on November 11th for grade 7 & 8 girls and grade 9 girls/boys. These competitions will allow students to improve their knowledge in the specific topic.

Islamic Elocution Competitions will be held on November 6th for grade 11 & 12 girls/boys, on November 10th for grade 5 & 6 girls and on November 12th for grade 7 & 8 girls/boys. During these competitions, students will showcase their spoken skills. It will also give them the opportunity of public speaking.

Nasheed (Poetry) competitions will be organised on November 11th for grade 5 & 6 girls and on November 14th for grade 7 & 8 girls/boys. These competitions aim to improve students’ poetry skills.

PROGRAM- WISE

AUDMUN (American University Model United Nations) conference will continue till November 2nd. The purpose is to provide an interactive educational experience that teaches in an interesting and enjoyable way about the United Nations. The process affords participants an understanding of how the process of international debate and negotiation that we commonly call diplomacy functions. In this interdependent world, MUN makes for informed global citizens who not only understand the decisions their nation makes but also how those challenges effect politics nationally, regionally and globally. IHS members from grades 8 to 12 will participate.

CAREER CENTRE

Canadian Universities Fair (Part 2) and Visit of Vatel Bahrain- International Hospitality School will be conducted on November 3rd for grade 11 & 12. The purpose for students is to meet university admission officers and be informed about their programs offer, admission requirements, application process, fee structure & deadline of application.

A Special Presentation of University of Toronto (Canada) will be organised on November 5th for grade 12. During this presentation, students will get orientation about their programs offer, admission requirements, application process, fee structure and deadline of application.

Symposium on the Advances and Career Opportunities in Medical Biotechnology will be held on November 7th for grade 11 & 12 Biology and Maths. The objective is to provide a great platform for the students to interact with eminent personalities and absorb the understanding of a career in Biotechnology.

Information Session on IELTS Exam Preparation will be conducted on November 10th for grade 11 & 12 participants. This session aims to teach participant students about techniques for preparation and acing the exam.

UK Universities Fair will be conducted on November 11th for grade 11 & 12. Through this fair, students will meet the university admission officers. They will be informed about their programs offer, admission requirements, application process, fee structure and deadline of application.

A Special Presentation of Brock University (Canada) will be organised on November 11th for grade 12. This presentation aims to give orientation to students about their programs offer, admission requirements, application process, fee structure and deadline of application.

European Universities Fair plus Tampa University & Rollins College will be conducted on November 13th for grade 11 & 12. Students will meet university admission officers. It will be an opportunity for them to know about their programs offer, admission requirements, application process, fee structure and deadline of application.

CONTINUOUS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

CPD Program on Microsoft Office Level 2010 will be conducted from November 3rd till 14th (tentative dates) for teachers. Through this program, each staff will undergo a 5 days training which includes Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint.

CPD Program on E-Learning – “Use of Interactive White Boards” will be conducted from November 3rd till 14th (tentative dates) for teachers. This program will help to determine the level and effectiveness of teachers in using the interactive white boards.

A Lecture on “Getting Inclusion Right” will be held on November 4th at University of Birmingham Dubai for IST Leaders. The lecture will reflect on some of the global challenges and report on four instances of where these challenges have been overcome, leading to successful inclusion.

Career – Coach Basic Workshop will be conducted on November 14th at Mazaya Center, Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai for selected Guidance Counsellor. This workshop will teach guidance counsellor the skills to help students be more informed about the better educational and career choices.

SPORTS

CBSE UAE Cluster Sports and Games will be organised on November 3rd & 4th for Badminton boys, Kabaddi and Handball girls, on November 5th & 6th for Badminton girls, from November 5th till 10th for Basketball boys, on November 11th & 12th for Athletics and on November 13th & 14th for Skating.

Our teams are qualified to compete in the CBSE National Level Sports from November 9th to 13th for Tennis and from September 9th to 14th for Table Tennis.
