Grade 5 & 6 (Boys)
Picnic will be organised on November 5th. This picnic will provide opportunities for experiential learning. It will also help students to encourage the enhancement of their social skills, camaraderie, team building and personal growth.
Children’s Day will be celebrated on November 14th. On account of this day, games and sports will be organized for students in the school playground. It will help to develop their self-esteem and personal growth by appreciating their individuality.
Grade 7 & 8 (Girls)
Children’s Day will be celebrated on November 14th. During this day, students will participate in a small programme organised for them. It will be an opportunity to dedicate this day for children and to promote their wellbeing.
Grade 7 & 8 (Boys)
A Section Picnic was originally planned on November 1st and now reschedule on October 31st due to sudden holiday declaration. Students will be taken to Aquaventure Water Park (indoor and outdoor theme park) in Atlantis, The Palm. It will be an opportunity for students and teachers to bond with each other, giving both parties a break from their hectic schedules.
Children’s Day will be celebrated on November 14th. The objective of this day is to motivate students to participate in various activities and to encourage their stage performance. It will also create a platform for social awareness.
Grade 9 (Girls)
Thematic Assembly (Sapphire House) titled ‘Diwali - Festival of Lights’ will be held on November 7th. The objective of this assembly is to make the students aware of this festival. It will help them understand why and how it is celebrated.
Grade 9 & 10 (Girls)
Henna Designing Competition for grade 9 and Rangoli Making Competition for grade 10 actual date were on October 25th and got postponed to November 5th (tentative date) due to DSIB inspection. These competitions will help in strengthening aesthetics and artistic skills of students.
Children’s Day will be celebrated on November 13th. This day will be an opportunity for students to commemorate the birthday of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.
Grade 9 & 10 (Boys)
Rangoli Making will be organised on November 5th. Students will explore a form of art that is used for religious purposes and as a decorative greeting.
Children’s Day will be celebrated on November 14th. The purpose of this day is to reflect on the value that children bring to our lives and our future. It will also be an opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments and nourish them in their quest to learn.
Science Exhibition will be conducted on November 15th. This exhibition aim in promoting interest in Science and Technology among younger generation. It will also help in encouraging scientific & technological creativity among students and inculcating a sense of pride in their talent.
PTCS will be organised during one of the days (date yet to be decided).
Grade 11 (Boys)
Poem Writing competition scheduled for November 4th is cancelled owing to examination.
Story Writing competition will be conducted on November 11th. The purpose of this competition is to develop students’ creative writing skills and to boost their confidence.
Grade 11 & 12 (Boys)
House Day will be held on November 5th. During this day, the four houses will compete to showcase their talents.
Islamic Quiz will be conducted on November 4th for grade 5 & 6, on November 12th for grade 7 & 8 and on November 13th for grade 9 & 10. The purpose of this competition is to enable the students to gain knowledge about Islam and its principles. It will help to enhance their knowledge about holy Quran and Islamic studies.
Arabic Quiz will be conducted on November 11th for grade 7 & 8 boys. The purpose of this quiz is to enhance inquisitiveness within students and develop their language proficiency.
American University Model United Nations Conference will be held from November 1st to 3rd. Our students from grades 9 to 12 are now moving towards University level conferences after taking parts and performing well at high school level conferences. The purpose to participate the Model UN is to provide them an interactive educational experience that teaches in an interesting and enjoyable way about the United Nations. The process affords participants an understanding of how the process of international debate and negotiation that we commonly call diplomacy functions. In this interdependent world, Model UN makes for informed global citizens who not only understand the decisions their nation makes but also how those changes effect politics nationally, regionally, and globally. It will also help them to develop and experience important social skills such as teamwork and group cooperation, conflict resolution, negotiation, consensus-building, critical thinking, public speaking and listening.
Special Presentations of Santa Clara University & Rollins College (USA) on November 1st, Hong Kong Polytechnic University on November 5th and Loughborough University (UK) on November 6th for grade 12. These presentations aim to give orientation to students about their programs offer, admission requirements, application process, fee structure and deadline of application.
Green Chemistry & Chemical Engineering Training Program will be conducted on November 5th for grade 12 Science. This training program includes sessions on quality analysis of food, mass transfer operation and hands-on software training.
Information Session on IELTS Exam Preparation will be organised on November 10th for grade 11 & 12 registered test takers. This session aim to teach the participants about techniques for preparation and acing the exam.
American University in Dubai Workshop in Psychology will be held on November 10th for grade 12 with Psychology. The objective of this workshop is to help students gain better insight on how to perceive, explain & modify thinking and behavior.
UK Universities Fair will be conducted on November 12th for grade 12. This fair will be an opportunity for students to meet university representatives and give first- hand information about their programs offer, admission requirements, application process, fee structure & deadline of application.
IELTS Mock Test will be held on November 15th for grade 11 & 12 registered test takers. Through this mock test, students will be provided an experiential learning on what to expect on the actual exam.
CPD Program on E-Learning – “Destination Success” and “Use of Interactive White Boards” will be conducted from November 1st till 15th (tentative dates) for teachers respectively. This program will help teachers to understand all collaborative tools needed. It will also help to determine their level and effectiveness in using the interactive white boards.
Inter-School Football Championship 2018 will conclude on November 15th at the GEMS Modern Academy Dubai. Boys’ team from grades 6 to 8 will represent our school in the competition.
