GRADE-WISE

Grade 5 & 6 (Girls)

Creative & Poetry Writing (Inter Class) competition will be conducted on November 22nd. The purpose of this competition for students is to enhance their creative ability. It will also help to stimulate the inherent poetic aptitude within them.

UAE National Day celebration will be held on November 29th. This day aim to instill the spirit of love and brotherhood among students towards the country they are living in. It will also be an opportunity to instill respect towards one another and bring peace & love between one another.

Grade 5 & 6 (Boys)

Science and Math Exhibition will be conducted on November 20th. This exhibition will help students to improve their skills of innovation and scientific thinking.

A Picnic will be organized on November 23rd. This educational picnic will be an opportunity for experiential learning of students. It will also encourage the enhancement of their social skills, camaraderie, team building and personal growth.

Children’s Day will be held on November 27th. On account of this day, students will be involved in sports and games activity. It will help to develop their self-esteem and personal growth by appreciating their individuality.

Grade 7 & 8 (Boys)

World Diabetes Day (Diabetes Walk) will be conducted on November 24th. Students will participate in 3km walkathon in creek park to support the cause.

A Special Assembly titled ‘Martyr’s Day’ will be held on November 27th. Through this assembly, one minute silence will be maintained by the students to show respect towards the Martyrs of UAE for sacrificing their life for the country. They will also decorate U.A.E. flag in an innovative manner.

Grade 9 & 10 (Girls)

Talent Scan will be conducted on November 21st. This inter-class competition will provide students a platform to showcase their talent in dance. They will perform as per the themes allotted.

Inter-House Rangoli competition will be held on November 23rd. This competition aim to foster the artistic skills of the students.

Inter-House Orchestra competition will be held on November 26th. The objective of this competition is to hone the students’ skills in music (vocal & instrumental).

Teachers’ Day & Children’s Day Celebrations will be held on November 26th. Students will commemorate the importance of these days. Teachers and students will host entertainment programs.

Thematic Assembly titled ‘U.A.E. National Day’ will be conducted on November 29th. Through this assembly, students will commemorate the glorious reunion of the seven emirates.

Grade 9 & 10 (Boys)

A Picnic to Motion Gate Theme Park will be organised on November 16th. This educational picnic will be a perfect way to expands one horizon, to promote learning through outdoor interactions & experiences and to provide an opportunity to students to bond with each other and giving them a break from their hectic schedules. It will also help them to enhance their social skills, team building & personal growth and appreciate the benefit of going out together.

Our students will participate in the 9th Beat Diabetes Walk on November 24th at Dubai Creek Park. This 3km walk, which has become a regular fixture in the country’s health and fitness calendar, will include a series of active events this year. It will also be a chance for our students to check their sugar levels at the free blood glucose testing kiosks.

National Day will be celebrated on November 29th. During this day, students will celebrate the "Spirit of the Union" and reflect UAE's solidarity across its culturally diverse community. It will also be an opportunity for them to show respect and gratitude towards the rulers, citizens and nation in general. Arabic Department will conduct a thematic assembly to enhance the spirit of patriotism and loyalty to the leadership & homeland.

Grade 11 & 12 (Boys)

Exams for grade 11 are ongoing and grade 12 exams will be conducted from November 22nd onwards. It will help to assess and evaluate the learning of students that took place from April, 2017 to November, 2017.

PROGRAM - WISE

46th UAE National Day practice will be organised on November 27th and the celebration will be held on November 28th. Students who would be taking part in the UAE National Day will be having rehearsal in the auditorium. This celebration day will be an opportunity to pay tribute to the country’s remarkable progress and its Rulers. It will also give us chance to say thanks for what this country has given us. It will be celebrated in the Auditorium where grades 5 to 8 girls will be the audience and selected students from grades 5 to 9 will perform Arabic dances, drama and more.

CAREER CENTRE

Hospitality Backstage Program by Modul University Dubai will be organised during this month for grade 12 Commerce & Humanities. This program will be an opportunity for students to have exposure in the hotel’s operational activities related to Hospitality Management career. They will also receive a certificate of completion from Modul University Dubai and the partner hotel. The dates are yet to be finalised.

Special Presentations of University of Delaware & Truman State University will be held on November 20th (tentative) and Saint Mary’s University (Canada) on November 21st for grade 11 & 12. The objective of these presentations is to orient students about their programs offer, admission requirements, application process, fee structure and deadline of application.

COUNSELLING CENTRE

A Parent Talk on the topic ‘The five love languages of children’ will be conducted on November 24th for grades 5 to 7 parents. The objective of this talk is to help parents to understand the needs of their children better.

A Parent Talk on the topic ‘College search & admission procedure in India’ will be held on November 24th for grades 11 & 12 parents. Through this talk, parents will get guidelines regarding admission requirements and timelines.

Student Talk on the topic ‘College Readiness part 2’ will be conducted during this month for grade 11 boys. This talk will help students in emerging careers and trends.

A Talk for Teachers on the topic ‘Classroom Intervention – Module 1’ will be held on November 27th for grade 11 & 12 boys teachers. The purpose of this talk for teaches is to give them in-depth awareness of issues relevant to the section.

CONTINUOUS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

CPD Program on E-Learning – “Destination Success” and “Use of Interactive White Boards” will be held on November 20th, 21st, 27th & 28th for teachers respectively. This program will help teachers to understand all collaborative tools needed. It will also help to determine their level and effectiveness in using the interactive white boards.

A Workshop will be conducted for senior secondary school teachers on November 25th in the subject of English. This workshop will help to improve ‘Question Paper Setting’ skills. They will also be trained in handling ‘HOTS’ questions. These skills will help improve our students’ performance at the Board exams.

SPORTS

Our football team (boys) is currently representing our school at the 33rd Our Own Sharjah Tournament 2017 at the Our Own English School, Sharjah. It will conclude on November 16th.

Selected students will compete in the CBSE Cluster Inter-School Basketball Championship 2017 from November 14th to 16th at the Basketball court of Al Mizhar Sports Complex, Dubai.

Our school Cricket team is currently competing in the 9th Shreyas Memorial Inter-School Cricket Tournament (Boys Under-17 age) at Dubai Modern Academy, Dubai. It will conclude on November 18th.

Our football team (boys) is currently competing in the St. Mary’s Saints Sports Festival 2017 at the St. Mary’s School, Dubai. It will conclude on November 18th.

Our football team (girls) will compete in the CBSE National Inter-School Football Championship 2017 on November 14th and 18th at Central India Academy, Dewas (Madhya Pradesh).

Qualified students from grades 8 to 10 boys will represent our school in the school’s Chess team at the CBSE National Inter-School Chess Championship 2017 from November 14th till 19th at Sarala Birla Public School, Ranchi (Jhakhand).
