Grade 5 & 6 (Boys)
Thematic Assembly titled ‘Republic Day’ will be held on January 19th. This assembly will help students to remember when India’s constitution came into force and also completing the country’s transition towards becoming an independent republic. Patriotic singing and speeches will be included.
Collage Making will be organised on January 22nd. The objective for students is to generate awareness for healthy mind and body. It will also help them understand the importance of sports and regular exercise. They will be engaged in class activity and collaborative work.
Grade 10 (Girls)
Model Examination will continue till January 20th.
Grade 12 (Girls)
Exams will continue till January 21st for CBSE Board Practical and from January 23rd onwards for Second Model.
Quran Recitation will be conducted on January 20th & 28th for grade 5 & 6 boys/girls respectively. This recitation aims to improve students’ pronunciation skills and voice modulation. It will also help the teachers to identify the talent and prepare them to take part in inter-school competition.
Islamic Quiz will be held on January 21st for grade 5 & 6 boys and on January 28th for grade 7 & 8 girls/boys. This competition will be an opportunity for students to improve their knowledge of the various aspects of Islam. It will also help the teachers to identify the talent and prepare them to take part in inter-school competition.
Islamic Nasheed will be organised on January 28th for grade 5 & 6 boys. Through this competition, students will improve their knowledge and understanding of the various aspects of Islam. This will also help the teachers to identify the talent and prepare them to take part in inter-school competition.
Islamic Elocution will be conducted on January 30th for grade 5 & 6 boys. The purpose is to give opportunity to students to improve their knowledge and understanding of the various aspects of Islam. It will also help the teachers to identify the talent and prepare them to take part in inter-school competition.
IHS MUN ’20 (Indian High School Model United Nations Conference) will be held on January 23rd & 24th for grades 7 to 11 girls/boys. This intra school conference will help students to develop and experience important social skills such as teamwork & group cooperation, conflict resolution, negotiation, consensus-building, critical thinking, public speaking and listening. It will also provide an interactive educational experience that teaches in an interesting and enjoyable way about the United Nations. The process affords participants an understanding of how the process of international debate and negotiation that we commonly call diplomacy functions. In this interdependent world, Model UN makes for informed global citizens who not only understand the decisions their nation makes but also how those changes effect politics nationally, regionally and globally.
Republic Day will be celebrated on January 26th. During this day, students will present dances, drills and shows. The purpose is to instill values of patriotism and enhance understanding of the rich cultural diversity of the country. It also aims to commemorate the day when India became Republic.
Math Workshop of the University of Waterloo (Canada) will be held on January 19th (tentative) for grade 11. The objective is to challenge students to think critically and creatively using Mathematics & common problem solving approaches.
Local Colleges Fair will be conducted on January 24th for grades 10 to 12. During this fair, students & parents will meet UAE university admission officers. They will be informed about their programs offer, admission requirements, application process, fee structure and deadline of application.
A Student Talk on the topic ‘Effective Communication’ will be held on January 19th for grade 6 boys. This talk aims to educate the students of the different ways of communicating effectively in order to build better relationships.
