GRADE-WISE

Grade 5 & 6

Orientation program for parents will be conducted on April 18th. During this program, relevant information on the school policies will be shared with parents. They will be guided and enlightened about the academic and extracurricular activities planned for students.

Grade 5 & 6 (Girls)

A Special Assembly titled ‘International Mother Earth Day’ will be held on April 23rd. This assembly will help to mark the significance of this day. It will also create environmental awareness among students.

A Special Assembly titled ‘Labour’s Day’ will be held on April 30th. Through this assembly, students will commemorate the achievement and contributions made by the workers.

Fun with Shapes (inter-class competition) will be organised on April 30th. This competition will be an opportunity for students to relate their knowledge of geometrical shapes with daily life.

Grade 5 & 6 (Boys)

World Heritage Day will be conducted on April 18th. During this day, students will participate in poster making. It will help to inculcate among them an understanding and appreciation for culture & heritage of UAE.

Global Citizens Day competition will be held on April 23rd. Students will be involved in best costume competition. It will be an opportunity for them to understand and appreciate the culture of their own and the world.

Act Me Out competition will be organised on April 26th. This competition will help students to enhance their skills in dramatics and dialogue delivery.

Grade 7 & 8 (Girls)

Thematic Assembly titled ‘Earth Day’ will be conducted on April 17th. This assembly will create awareness and appreciation for Earth’s environment. They will highlight the importance of this day through a play.

Orientation for parents will be conducted on April 19th. Through this orientation, parents will know various topics related to the new academic year.

Thematic Assembly titled ‘World Book Day’ will be held on April 24th. During this assembly, students will emphasize the importance of reading. It will also help to encourage them to explore the pleasure of books and get to know about well-known authors.

World Book Day will be celebrated on April 24th. Students of grade 7 will be engaged in making book marks and students of grade 8 will be involved in making book covers to mark this day. It will also be an opportunity for them to showcase their creativity and skills.

Grade 7 & 8 (Boys)

Donating Books will be organised on April 23rd to celebrate the year of giving in UAE.

Talents Day will be held on April 24th. This day will be an opportunity for students to exhibit their artistic and musical talents. It will also help them to improve their self-confidence.

Service Day will be held on April 29th. On this day, students will spread out message of love and care towards animals.

Grade 9 & 10

Orientation for parents will be conducted on April 17th. Through this orientation, parents will learn about different departments, services and academics programs that our school offers. They will also know the new examination pattern initiated by CBSE.

Grade 9 & 10 (Girls)

Thematic Assembly will be held on April 19th. This assembly will create awareness among students about the need and importance of environmental conservation. It will help them enlighten with environmental facts and would also be motivated to protect ‘Mother Earth’. Yoga and Breathing Exercise will also be included.

Thematic Assembly titled ‘Mathematics in Real Life’ will be held on April 26th. During this assembly, students will demonstrate the topic. They will take Mathematics beyond the text book and throw light on the indispensable role that it plays in our daily routine. Yoga and Breathing Exercise will also be included.

Grade 9 (Boys)

World Earth Day will be celebrated on April 20th. This day aims to campaign for ‘Environmental & Climate Literacy’. Students will be participated in an interclass model making competition under the theme ‘Best out of waste’ to empower everyone with the knowledge to inspire action in defense of environmental protection and to encourage use of green technologies.

Grade 9 & 10 (Boys)

World Heritage Day with the theme ‘Cultural Heritage and Sustainable Tourism’ will be celebrated on April 19th. This day aims to enhance awareness of the importance of the cultural heritage of humankind and to conserve the human heritage. It will also be an opportunity for students to spread awareness about the diversity of cultural heritage and the efforts required to protect and conserve it. It will also help them to draw attention towards sustainable tourism in Dubai.

Cinema for a Cause (entertainment with a purpose) will be organised on April 19th. The objective of this program for students is to inculcate the values of charity and empathy along with providing entertainment. It will also help to encourage them to contribute a minimal amount towards making a fruitful and heartwarming enterprise.

Student Council Elections will be conducted on April 23rd. This democratic election will help to provide proactive leadership that will be involved in various activities for the welfare of our school and benefit of its students.

Grade 10 (Boys)

World Book Day with the purpose ‘to turn millions of kids into millions of readers’ will be held on April 20th. During this day, students will dress in famous book covers and speak about the author & the book. It will help to invigorate everyone to explore the pleasure of reading and pay homage to those who have furthered the social and cultural progress of humanity.

Grade 11 & 12 (Girls)

Sociology Movie will be organised on April 19th. This program will help students to develop their sociological and analytical skills.

Fortnight Delite will be held on April 20th. The purpose of this program for students is to inculcate healthy eating habits and establish cross curricular links between the subjects.

Cinema for a Cause will be conducted on April 26th. This program will help to inculcate among students the habit of philanthropy and generosity.

A Picnic will be organised on April 27th. The objective of this picnic for students is to promote learning through outdoor interactions and experiences.

Student Council Elections will be held on April 30th. This election will be a democratic style of choosing students’ leaders. It will also help to inculcate the importance of electing their representatives.

Grade 12 (Boys)

Salesmanship Fieldtrip will be organised on April 27th. Commerce students will be taken on a field trip to get a firsthand experience. They will make a project on the same as part of their practical studies.

Math Workshp will be conducted on April 29th. This workshop will help students to sharpen their Math skills.

INTER-SCHOOL COMPETITION

Three teams from grade 12 Science girls & boys will participate in the 8th Annual Engineering and Computing Competition on April 20th organised by Rochester Institute of Technology, Dubai. Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Programming are the three categories.

COUNSELLING CENTRE

Interest Test by a resource person from India will be conducted on April 17th for grade 8. The purpose of this test for students is to assess their interest areas and relate it with available careers and relate it with available careers.

Personality Test by a resource person from India will be held on April 18th for grade 9. This test will help students to assess their personality and match them with careers and match them with careers.

CAREER CENTRE

A Special Presentation of O.P. Jindal Global University will be conducted on April 18th for grade 12 Commerce & Humanities. Through this presentation, students will be informed about their programs offered, admission requirements, application process & deadlines and fee structure.

Special Presentations of University of Central Florida will be held on April 20th and University of Worcester on April 25th for grade 12. The purpose of these presentations is to inform students about their programs offered, admission requirements, application process & deadlines and fee structure.

A College Visit to Emirates Aviation University will be organised on April 22nd for grade 12 Commerce & Science with Maths. This visit will be an opportunity for students to see the campus facilities. They will also know about their programs offered, admission requirements and application process.

CONTINUOUS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

CPD Program on E-Learning – “Destination Success” will be held from April 17th, 18th, 23rd & 24th for teachers. This training will help teachers to understand all collaborative tools needed.

Competence Building in Social Science will be conducted on April 22nd for middle school teachers from grades 6 to 8.

A Workshop will be conducted for secondary school teachers from grade 9 & 10 on April 30th in the subject of English and ASL by a resource person from India. This workshop will help to improve ‘Question Paper Setting’ skills. They will also be trained in handling ‘HOTS’ questions. These skills will help improve our students’ performance at the Board exams.

SPORTS

Our school’s boys and girls team will participate in the Wien Tournament for Basketball at Vienna, Austria which will conclude on April 16th.

Our boys’ cricket team will participate in the 16th Dhruve Pandove Memorial T-20 Cricket Tournament from April 16th to 19th at YPS, Patiala, India.

Sports Day will be held on April 25th. This day will be an opportunity for students to exhibit their talents in athletics and team games. It will also help to encourage them to participate in a wide range of sports events. They will display their values of sportsmanship, friendly competition with each other, team spirit, co-operation, trust and responsibility.
